I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team SAP

As we walk through this journey called life, we have been given the privilege of sharing our experiences with others.  I have learned and grown so much by seeing how others deal with difficult situations, some of which I can only imagine and would not wish upon anyone.

There have been a few people in my life who have inspired me by simply allowing us to see their gracefulness as they handle difficult situations, they give off an inexplicable radiance of life even while walking through a dark time.  One of these people is a little girl named Naima (Nah-ee-ma), a loving family friend who bravely fought and beat cancer.  I see how her battle is now helping many others currently facing that darkness, including my own brother, Ruben.  I see him looking back on her story and I can see the impact of her strength and inspiration guiding him.  You can read Naima's story by following the link below in the Honored Kids section.

Seeing how Naima, her family and community have come together to make a difference in the life of others has inspired me to take some action of my own.  Although I may not be brave enough to shave my entire head, I do plan to cut 8 - 12 inches off to help raise awareness and money for childhood cancer research, and hopefully provide a cute little hairstyle for someone fighting this battle and seeking a reason to smile.

Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
