I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: No Hair, Don’t Care

March 27 at 6 pm, SacYard Community Tap House is hosting us as we BRAVE THE SHAVE. It's outdoors. They are family and dog friendly. Join us. 1725 33rd St, Sacramento, CA.

Yes, I'm doing it again.

I work in Children's Surgery Center at UC Davis. Kids come here to get there first biopsy. This is where parents find out there child has cancer. They start their new journey with us. We prep them for surgery, walk them through recovery, hand them tissues when they cry, try and support them as they learn a new vocabulary, a new way of life. Now, we are shaving our heads to raise money for childhood cancer research!

Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So we decided to do something about it by raising money for cures.

Now we need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.

Every 2 minutes another child gets diagnosed with cancer. 1 in 5 will not survive. 66% of children treated for childhood cancer will suffer long-term effects from treatment including loss of hearing and sight, heart disease, secondary cancers, learning disabilities, infertility and more.

In the U.S., more children die of childhood cancer than any other disease—more than AIDS, asthma, cystic fibrosis, congenital anomalies and diabetes combined.

Please help us offer kids everywhere a better future. Donate. Every dollar helps. Thank you.
