I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Markit 24 Hour Global Shave

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Markit 24 Hour Global Shave

It is time for The MARKIT 24 Hour Global Shave. Tune in to watch live streaming video as I have my head shaved to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, but more importantly, to raise money to find cures. This is my second year to help raise money for this important cause by shaving my head. Last year I found the experience very rewarding personally and a good time was had poking a little fun at the before and after photos. This year I vowed to not cut my hair or shave my face until the official Global Shave and the comments I have been getting on my new look let me tell even more people about the cause. The contrast in looks should be quite dramatic. I believe in the benefits that these donations can offer, but more in the need for the research to help find cures for childhood cancers. I lost my only son, Patrick, to liver cancer at just 18 months of age. I know first hand how this affects the countless people that are touched by a tragic event like this. I am proud that my company, Markit, has adopted St. Baldrick's as one of their supported charities. As a corporate sponsor Markit has raised over $1,300,000 for the cause. St. Baldrick's Foundation funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government. Your gift will give hope to children and young adults fighting childhood cancers and their loved ones. Thank you!
