I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Hi Everyone! This is my 7th year raising money and shaving my head for St Baldricks' incredible cause. I do this every year for my younger Brother Ouni who passed away from childhood Cancer in 2019 at just 15 years old. I like to use this platform to talk about Ouni each year to honor him and help keep his memory alive. Ouni was an incredible kid with a huge personality. You would feel his presence in every room he walked into with his loud laugh and sarcastic comments. He had a great sense of humor and I was always smiling and laughing when I was around him. I still smile when I think about him or any of the many inside jokes we had. Ouni was also incredibly smart and a very hard worker. Although he was born with very poor vision from his albinism he never let that hold him back in anything from school to playing basketball. As his older brother he should have been looking up to me, but I find myself looking up to him to this day.

This year I hope to raise enough money for my total earnings to pass $25,000 in raisings for St Baldricks since I started raising in 2019. St Baldricks as a whole has raised over 354 million dollars across 31 different countries. This money is used in the most impactful way to save children from cancer, a chance I wish Ouni had. There has already been tremendous progress directly from St Baldricks. St Baldricks has funded the research that has led to the first FDA approved Gene Therapy in the United States. It also has supported clinical trials that have already saved kids' lives like for Phineas, a four year old kid that was diagnosed with Leukemia. Please feel free to read more about the incredible progress made by St Baldricks to see for yourself where these funds are going.

If you can please donate whatever possible to this incredible cause that is very close to my heart so that we can help save kids from Cancer and allow them to grow up. Each kid has their whole lives ahead of them if we can just help find a cure. Please feel free to share about St Baldricks as well as my page to as many people as possible. Thank you!
