I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Stunod

Why am I shaving my head, and why should you care?

A challenge among friends 25 years ago has become the largest volunteer movement to Conquer Kids’ Cancer. This will be my 11th year as a participant, and  I’m joining thousands of others to shave my head to raise money for childhood cancer research!

I have gone ahead and scheduled for an event at Werk Force Brewing in Plainfield, Illinois for Saturday March 23, 2024!

If anyone wants to join or come for the event it will be a huge fundraiser! Truly appreciate all the help we can offer these kids!

Why am I shaving my head with St. Baldrick’s? Because your donation “on my head” will actually save lives.

I know so many of us have been touched by cancer and are looking for ways to give to the fight. The reality is that it's not just a physical and emotional battle, but also a financial one. My niece Ella was diagnosed with Anaplastic diffuse Wilms' tumor (nephroblastoma) in January 2023 and had undergone chemotherapy, tumor and kidney removal, and post surgery chemo and radiation therapy.

As you may also know, I have been a St. Baldricks participant for 11 years now, raising thousands of dollars in hopes to help find a cure for kids cancer, whatever it might be.

In all these years I hoped it would never hit this close to home. But the unfortunate reality is that it has. I still to this day cannot imagine how hard it has been for Ella, her brother Connor, and their loving parents Kurtis and Shannon.

Ella is certainly one of the strongest and most brilliant little girls I am proud to know! We love you Ella and will always be here for you! #ELLASTRONG

I set up this page to honor both Ella and all the other children out there whom need our help. Each shaved head, every dollar donated, creates a ripple effect of progress for kids with cancer.

Your gift will give kids and their families hope, supporting the best research across the country, through the largest charity funder of childhood cancer research grants, the St. Baldrick’s Foundation.

Together, let’s give these kids the lifetime they deserve. Thank you for your support!
