I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: D5

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: D5

I had never known a family whose child had cancer, much less passed away from it ... until I moved to Littleton, CO. I became friends with Shelly & DJ Kurtz. Shelly told me the story of how they lost their son, Blake, to cancer. I looked at pictures of this sweet and happy boy and listened to their stories. I felt their grief- something no parents should feel. I am participating in St. Baldrick's in memory of Blake and in honor of his parents.

Are you shocked I am shaving my head? Think of the shock factor that a parent gets when their child is diagnosed with cancer or worse their child dies from this dreadful disease. Together we can help find a cure for childhood cancer!

Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures.

Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
