I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Why am I having my head shaved? I am 6 years old and last year a friend of mine participated as a shavee. When my Mummy explained what he was doing and why it made me sad. I cried when I learned that some children get so sick that no amount of band-aids, magic creams or cuddles will make them better. I decided to spend all year growing my hair so that I could have as much cut off as possible to help all the sick children. The time is almost here! 12 months and five and a 1/2 inches of hair later it is time to shave it all off on 15th March. Please help me to provide as much support as I can to help make children better and maybe even stop them getting sick in the first place. I will stand in solidarity with children fighting cancer. More importantly, I'm doing it to raise funds for childhood cancer research Worldwide, more than 160,000 children are diagnosed with cancer each year. The St. Baldrick's Foundation partners with organizations around the world to fund childhood cancer research. We must all do everything we can to give kids a better chance for a cure.
