I helped to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Delta Baldies

My friends and I are organizing a St. Baldrick’s Shave your Head for a Cause event. We hope you can join us at this St. Baldrick's event, whether you decide to shave your head, volunteer, or make a monetary donation, come and be a part of the excitement.

The St. Baldrick's Foundation is a volunteer-driven charity that funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any other organization.

Get involved and you'll be giving hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers.

Our goal is to raise $3,500 dollars for St. Baldrick’s with the end result being Claudia Navarro, shaving her head. Claudia will be shaving her head to honor her niece Isabella Mays who was diagnosed at age 4 with Optic Nerve Glioma she has since undergone Chemo Therapy, Radiation treatments, blood transfusions and hospital stays along with dealing with the side effects of the various medication treatments she has also lost some of her hair. She has gone thru so much already in her first five years the least we can do for her is honor her strength and bravery during these challenging times.

The event will be held here at Delta College in the Quad Area on Thursday, August 16, 2012 from 12:30pm-2:30pm

We hope that you find it in your heart to support our cause. Please feel free to share this information with family and friends.

Thank you for your support.
