I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Rowan MMA

My name is Daniel Deevey and I am trying to raise $1,000 in support of St. Baldricks and there foundation of raising money for childhood cancer research. I have been growing out my hair now for 2 years and I have been growing out my beard for 6 months (at the time of shaving). When my goal is reached I plan on donating the hair for wig making and shaving my beard as well! I'm doing this as a promise to a friend and in support of another friend and co-worker Joanne Meyers. Joanne, who has battled through cancer and is still having complications, has been an inspiration for me and has shown me that even though you're in a bad situation that you can always be happy. My family has also had a dealt with cancer problems including Leukemia, Kidney and Colon cancer. My goal for $1,000 is a lofty one but with the help of friends, family and good natured people, I believe that we can hit this goal and help raise money for cancer research!
