I AM GOING BALD, SHAVING MY HEAD TO RAISE MONEY FOR CHILDHOOD CANCER! COME CHEER ME AT THE EVENT ON 3/23!

*My name is Connor. I am a 13-year-old student at Kennedy Junior High School and am shaving my head for the third time to raise money for childhood cancer research and awareness with the Highlands Heroes team!

*I have refused to cut my hair since late August (much to my mom's dismay) so I have a giant pile of hair on the floor when I shave it.

*Cancer is an important issue for me. It is rampant in my family. My Grandpa John is sick with cancer (chronic lymphocytic leukemia, CLL) has had skin cancer more times than the dermatologist can count.

*My Grandma Kathy (my mom's mom) has beaten breast cancer twice. My mom's grandpa died of colon cancer. My mom's grandma beat breast cancer and then ultimately succumbed to brain cancer. Several aunts and uncles have also battled cancer, and we have family friends who have children battling childhood cancer.

Consider donating -- even just $1 -- because every bit helps! Regardless of whether you donate, I'd still love your support at the event on March 23 (6 p.m. to 10 p.m.) at the Naperville Marriott at 1801 N. Naper Blvd., Naperville, IL. It's a lot of fun. Come watch me shave my head, hear survivors, listen to bagpipes, participate in raffles, play games, eat and see a bunch of people shave off all their hair for a great cause.
