I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

On May 10th, 2007, I was diagnosed with a rare type of childhood cancer - Osteosarcoma. Before being diagnosed, I lived my life unaware of the fact that children could develop cancer. In my mind, Cancer was only something that older men and women were unfortunate enough to fall ill to. I was sadly mistaken and my wake up call was loud and clear. I underwent treatment for a year. On May 10th, 2008 I finished my last round of chemotherapy. I have met and made many friends along the way to recovery. Of this I am thankful. Some of those who I was blessed to meet have gone on to be angels, watching over those that struggle to finish their fight for survival. I wish to honor those and the ones still fighting by shaving my head and becoming a baldy again! Vinny D., Taylor F., Daniel S., and Emily F. are some important people who I am doing this for!
