¡Hola Amigues!
This year, I have decided it is my year to "Rock the Hawk". I will be shaving my hair on the left and right sides of the cabeza and figuring out my best look to "Rock the Hawk" in the middle. Always wanted to have a mohawk of some sort? Join me!
Part [1] of 2 is complete and I will be shaving the second part tomorrow, 19/marzo/2020! Check out the results of part one here --> Parte 1 de 2
In this year's event, I am honoring Martha R. and Klaus H, students I have had the gift of getting to work with. I am also honoring my great-grandmother, who was a breast-cancer survivor, and my childhood best friend, Andrea, who is also a cancer survivor and an amazing nurse.
11 years ago, I shaved my head for the first time as one of the captains of CU Women's Ultimate Frisbee team with another teammate. Inspired by my mejor amiga, another captain for the team, who shaved her head all on her own the previous year, we doubled our team's involvement that 2nd year. The following year, another 4 women from our team shaved their heads at CU Boulder's St. Baldrick's Day event.
There is strength in numbers and the more we inspire each other to take risks and live fully, the more we can be inspired to live our most authentic lives.
¡Gracias por donar a la causa! My own donation is (in part) the money donated by my students in the past few weeks-- thank you! Many blessings, and may you Rock your life to the max.

I'm shaving my head with St. Baldrick's to raise money and help conquer kids' cancers! Every 2 minutes a child is diagnosed with cancer worldwide, and 1 in 5 of those in the U. S. will not survive. I refuse to accept this reality, so I’ve decided to fundraise for lifesaving research to find cures and better treatments for kids. Now I need your support! Your donation can fund research to help kids survive and thrive. Join me today and let's #DFYchildhoodCancers together.
