Why am I shaving my head, and why should you care?
A challenge among friends 25 years ago has become the largest volunteer movement to Conquer Kids’ Cancer. This year, I’m joining thousands of others to shave my head to raise money for childhood cancer research.
Did you know, 1 in 5 kids diagnosed with cancer in the U.S. won’t survive? For those who do, more than 96% have severe or life-threatening conditions by the time they are 50.
I myself was fortunate enough to be one of those survivors thanks to all the help and support I had as a kid. Because this mission is so personal to me, I will be bringing back the bald if I reach my goal of $150.
Outside of making me shave my head, every dollar counts and is important in the mission against childhood cancer. Together we can make a change towards a better world.
Your gift will give many other kids and families hope, supporting the best research across the country, through the largest charity funder of childhood cancer research grants, the St. Baldrick’s Foundation.
There’s a throwback to the last time I was bald because of cancer in the photo gallery. This time I’ll feel a better as it’s happening knowing I’m helping give other kids the life I was given. Thank you all for your support!
