What could possibly be more important than saving the life of a child?
At our event, some folks will shave their heads – and others like me will keep the hair we have and put our hearts into supporting childhood cancer research. I will be donating the majority of my hair (almost 20 inches!) to make wigs for children undergoing treatment!
Since working closely with these kids as a pediatric hematology, oncology, and bone marrow transplant nurse, I have seen many of the challenges and changes these kids face. Childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded and these kids deserve so much more! Any donation, big or small, helps kids in the toughest fight of their lives!
During the pandemic, donations have been down sharply, which is a big deal since the St. Baldrick’s Foundation is the largest non-government supporter of childhood cancer research grants.
I want to make sure kids know we care. I want more research to save lives. Please support me with a donation. Thank you!
