I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I'm shaving my head because every three minutes, a child is diagnosed with cancer. One in five won't live to see eighteen. Childhood cancers are very different from adult cancers in treatment, diagnosing, and (hopefully!) curing it, yet facilities treating and studying childhood cancers only receive about 4% of the money nationally used to treat, combat, and (again, hopefully!) cure cancer. St. Baldrick's  is the largest private funder of childhood cancer research in the U.S. I can't cure cancer; I can't even make a large donation. What I can do is shave my head and ask friends to donate a few dollars to St. Baldrick's. It's not a lot, per person, but it can make a difference when all added up. This is why we need to cure cancer: this inspirational, heartrending story

St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids

Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
