I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: MetLife & Friends

I'm takin' it off. All of it. And I can't think of a better reason.

I'm shaving my head in solidarity with kids out there who have cancer and typically lose their hair during treatment, while raising critical funds for childhood cancer research.

I cannot imagine a more difficult scenario, for child or parent, than being or having a sick young 'un. You all know how important my nieces and nephew are to me. If something were to ever happen to them... Lord, I can't even THINK about it. In the US, more children die of childhood cancer than any other disease. Does that scare the jeepers out of anybody else reading this?

Please, folks. Make a donation on my behalf to support childhood cancer research so that all children diagnosed with cancer will have a better chance for a cure. I've set my fundraising goal at $1000. If only HALF of my facebook friends donated one dollar, I'd have it. It's so easy. Click on "Make A Donation" here on the site. Donate by mail or phone. But please don't let another day go by without helping.

Come back in a couple of months to see the "after" pictures! That's worth a shekel or two, right? 'Specially for a good cause. Oh, and hey, women--if you want to join me in Central Park on March 16, 2011, bring your loudest lipstick and cover my naked noggin with smooches. $5 a peck to help the cause, photo op to follow. I'm just sayin'...

Thank you for your support. Love y'all.
