Why am I shaving my head, and why should you care?
I started doing this four years ago as a member of the 501st Legion, when we were invited to attend a St. Baldrick’s event. That first year, I participated because I was going to be there anyway — and I thought, why not?
But being at the event changed me. I heard story after story about how this organization has supported kids and families — not just locally, but around the world. The second year, it meant more. I realized just how many people in my life have battled cancer and survived.
Then there's my biggest "why."
My wife's sister was diagnosed with leukemia at a very young age. Despite everything she endured, she remained a ray of sunshine to those around her. Tragically, she lost her battle at just 9 years old. I never had the chance to meet her — but her story, and the love my wife and her family still carry, drives me to do more.
That’s why I’ve committed to participating in this event year after year — to raise money for life-saving research and to support an organization that is truly making a difference.
If you’re reading this, I hope you’ll consider supporting me in this effort.
Your donation brings hope — funding the most promising research through the largest charity funder of childhood cancer research grants: the St. Baldrick’s Foundation.
Together, let’s help give these kids the lifetime they deserve.
Thank you for your support.
