Anthony Michael "Munch" Viau, age 21, of Clovis, CA, passed away peacefully at Clovis Community Medical Center on Tuesday, September 5, 2017. He was born on May 5, 1996, in Clovis, CA, to Michael Craig Viau, and Monica King. Anthony loved playing all sports, but his love was baseball. He started playing baseball at the age of five. At the age of eight, he started playing travel baseball with the Central Valley Heat. He was a catcher for many years then played second base into high school. He played school baseball at Tenaya Middle School, Bullard and Clovis High Schools. He was a San Francisco Giants fan from the beginning to the end. He was a volunteer with Special Olympics when he wasn't playing ball. Volunteering was something he enjoyed doing with his Nana. He loved going to the movies, the beach, and traveling. He was a loving, kind, caring, strong and courageous person who was loved by many. He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Floyd and Gladys Heely and Dorothy Pauline nee Christopher Viau. He is survived by his parents, Michael Viau (Cindy), and Monica King (partner Pete Petersen); his siblings, Bryant and Kirsten King, and Nicolas Viau; his grandparents, Craig and Sande Viau (Papa and Nana), Rod (Verian) Hoschouer, Peggy (Guillermo) Rebellon, and Roy (Angie) Mansanalez ; great grandfather Asaad "Acey" Tanury, great-grandmother, Lorene Farnham; his girlfriend, Kelsey Gray, who stayed right by his side through his journey; aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends. We'd like to give special thanks to Dr. Michael Moffett, Veronica, Rebecca, Steve, Kalani, Pat, Quinn, and the staff at Clovis Ambulatory Infusion Center for taking special care of our boy, and to the Staff on the fifth floor at Clovis Community Medical Center for his end care.
