On April 12, 2014 Zadee was taken to the ER after she woke up with a severely bruised, swollen eye. Scans were performed and unfortunately they showed some abnormalities. She was immediately admitted and ever since that day everything changed drastically. The doctors couldn't figure out what was wrong and had to run multiple tests, And unfortunately the news came that Zadee had Stage 4 Neuroblastoma; the disease was spread everywhere including tumors in her skull and behind her eyes which was causing her eyes to bulge out (Propotosis). Even though its been a year now since her diagnosis, all of this is still very new to our entire family. It's been tough for everyone but, with God's grace everyone has managed to pull through. Zadee is an amazing three-year-old girl. She loves her two older brothers and her baby sister dearly. Always such a happy child who could brighten your day with her smile, not to mention her funny facial expressions! I honestly cannot find the perfect words to describe Zadee and every other kid who has or has had cancer, their strengths amaze me. Zadee has managed to keep fighting this disease with a smile on her face since day one. She is the brightest little girl I know, and she is loved by so many people and has a great support system from all over the world. Zadee has received nine chemotherapy treatments, has spent countless days at the hospital, was in isolation for two weeks receiving 131-I-MIBG radiation and just had an Autologous Stem Cell Transplant at Cooks Children's Hospital in Ft. Worth, TX. We're hoping for good news within the next couple of months, all we can do for now is keep praying and have faith!!
