My Story
Thank you for supporting me and the more than 300,000 kids worldwide. At the age of 17 I was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. It was halfway through my senior year of high school, and I thought I was never going to be able to do my normal activities again like participating in my local fire department's Junior Firefighter program, play hockey, or go to prom. I was very nervous to see what would happen to me and my body. However, I always kept my head high and kept a positive mentality. If it wasn't for my support group I wouldn't have been able to stay so positive because they were by my side through the whole fight. They visited me before my first treatment and always checked in on me and constantly asked if I needed anything and always asked how I was doing. My friend Andrew started raising money for my family in school with help from some of my friends, my sister Nicoletta, and my girlfriend, Diana. They sold purple bracelets that said "Robby B Strong". As the school year started to end my friends had an idea to show their support for me at graduation by getting purple and white graduation cords to wear.
