My Story

As any new mom, we turn to Google when we see something odd. I noticed some pin point dots on Owen’s arm and within hours my world officially turned upside down. It was like a black hole in the Earth had opened up and swallowed me and my entire family whole. Countless tears, conversations with doctors asking questions that no parent should ever have to ask like “is my child going to die?” Time was ticking and we needed to make so many decisions fast. No more were the concerns about work or daily stressors. Life changing decisions had to be made NOW!! In treatment, days turned to months and the fears, worries remained constant but the support from family, friends and especially the pediatric cancer community presented itself and never left our side. Strangers became friends, financial support, meals and words of encouragement carried us through the darkest time of our lives. Our children deserve so much more. They are our future. Every child matters! Thank you for supporting me and the more than 300,000 kids worldwide who will be diagnosed with cancer this year. By sharing the gifts of your time, talent and money with the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, you're supporting research to give all kids with cancer a better chance for a cure.
