My Story

Parker was only nineteen-months-old when he was diagnosed with a Grade 1 Juvenile Pilocytic Astrocytoma brain tumor. His tumor is located in the thalamus/hypothalamus region of the brain. In August 2016, he had a partial tumor resection with Dr. David Sacco at Medical City Children's Hospital in Dallas, TX and in December 2016 he started chemotherapy. He's currently in treatment for the next year and is doing well so far. His latest scan showed that the tumor is slowly shrinking, which was the best news his family could have hoped for!
