My Story
Lucas was diagnosed with stage IV neuroblastoma at 9 months old. After being treated as intermediate risk and 1.5 year off treatment, Lucas relapsed. He began treatment for high risk neuroblastoma--5 cycles of chemo, surgery, 1 cycle of chemo, MIBG/transplant,
radiation, and accutane. On the third cycle of accutane, Lucas' cancer progressed which ultimately overtook his body. Lucas was just weeks short of 4 years old.
Lucas was an empathetic, cuddly, and inquisitive child that loved singing, creating, exploring, and discovering. He was an adventurous eater that enjoyed ethnic foods and a wide range of fruits and vegetables. His favorite color was purple. His passion was to connect objects together and explain the relationship between the objects. He also loved vacuuming and cooking. He is survived by a 6yr old sister, father, mother, and baby
brother due May 2008 he was looking forward to playing with. To learn more about Lucas' journey, visit www.caringbridge.org/visit/lucastran
