My Story
Tommy Quinn was a happy, healthy honor student and athlete at Saint John's Prep in Danvers when he was diagnosed with ALL leukemia on 12/14/2007. All his normal activities came to a halt at that time and now he is fighting a battle to survive leukemia. He was declared in remission in January and is now in the consolidation stage of treatment. Tommy is very upbeat and optimistic. He is starting to get back to some normal activities. He is beginning with a tutor to keep up with his schoolwork and has started to get together with friends again.
Tommy's passion is skiing and he had just started his dream job teaching skiing to children 2 weeks prior to being diagnosed. Tommy has already been helpful in talking to other children who have been diagnosed with leukemia after he was. He plans to start a support group/charitable organization focusing on childhood cancers when he returns to school.
