Just shy of her eleventh birthday, Laila was diagnosed with a “rare” form of cancer called Rhabdomyosarcoma. After nine days in the hospital and her first chemo treatment we were released home and began the journey of treatment available to us. We are currently in month six of a nine month treatment plan to be followed by maintenance treatment. Raising money for Pediatric Cancer research gives us hope, that soon better treatments and CURES will be made possible for each child facing cancer. Laila is a beautiful soul! Thank you for choosing to help her cause.
Above is our story from last years perspective. We finished Laila’s treatment and she rang the bell in June! It was the most wonderful five months during which she was on maintenance chemo, enjoyed her summer and even began school again. Heartbreakingly just one month shy of finishing the proposed treatment plan, her cancer came back. Pediatric cancer, “RARE” ones especially need funding and personally we are desperate for advancement when it comes to Rhabdomyosarcoma. Thank you once again for partaking in our cause.
