My Story

Christopher was 10 years old on Aug. 3, 2016 when an MRI revealed a tumor in his brain. Just 5 long days later he was diagnosed with Anaplastic Astrocytoma. A very aggressive brain tumor that took his life just under 2 years later. We are forever grateful to everyone and all organizations that gave us love, support and strength throughout that difficult time. Our hope is that one day a cure will be found. There isn't a single child on this earth that deserves cancer of any type. By donating to the St. Baldrick's foundation, you are helping a child diagnosed with cancer live one day longer. Christopher Michael Cadman, age 13, died surrounded by beloved family, May 21, 2018, at his home in Hammond. Christopher was born on November 11, 2004, in Chalmette, LA to parents Mike and Carissa Cadman. He was the older brother to Jase and Lola Cadman. Chris was an expert on animals, and loved to visit the aquarium, the zoo, the alligator farm, and anywhere he could learn more about animals. Even at a very young age, his family members would call him to ask him to identify animals. He was a wonderful artist with a sharp and fantastic sense of humor. He was a master at creating flip books and comic strips, and his awesomeness was unstoppable. He had a heart for others, and desired always to be with family and loved ones. He was a believer in faith and magic. A true giver of light and love.
