Jordan was DX with (ALL) Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in June 14 2007.
It started out with him not feeling well off and on for about 6-8 weeks. We thought it maybe and ear infection, but each time we went to the Dr. we where told it was a virus and it would pass. I knew it was something else for kids just don't get sick all the time. It wasn't a flu or cold. What was it? Why was he so uncomfortable? He was limping, but we thought he had just fallen or the dog had knotted him over.
When we did finally get a blood test done I was panicking. I was calling every hour for the tests to come back. I knew something was not right. We check in to All Children's Hospital in St. Peterburg and to make a very long story short. We didn't check out until 3 weeks later.
I felt like it was a nightmare. I would close my eye and I would wake up and this would be gone. Each day I am reminded that this is my life for now. Jordan will get through this he is strong.
He continues to do well. Jordan has a twin brother Jacob and a older brother Joshua. We know each day is a gift and things can change at any moment, but we are hopeful.
Please drop us a hopeful message at Jordan's Carepage.
