Trentin was diagnosed with Leukemia in May of his Senior year of High School. He was able to graduate. That summer Trentin was in the hospital he watched as his friends pack up and leave for college. He had complication after compilation. At one point his Care team handed us a drug information sheet and we immediately looked at the unlikely list of side effects because we knew that those would be the side effects he would experience including a few more that would be unheard of. Trentin now 20 was able to begin Courses at his local community college, he is working towards his goal of becoming and Imaging Technician and hopes to work at a children's hospital. He wants to help ease the fears of the children during their diagnostic testing. What is one thing that Trentin wants you to know about Cancer. Cancer effects the whole family. It wasn't just him fighting for his life, it was his siblings not having mom at home, they moved in with Grandma and Grandpa so Mom could give a 100% go her time caring for him during his hospital stays. Family's are separated, sibling's give up their extra activities for numerous reasons and the whole time Cancer is holding your family hostage, Life moves on around you.
