My Story

Jasmyn was diagnosed with Stage 4 High risk Neuroblastoma on Dec. 6th 2018 when she was a few months away from turning 3. She went through 5 rounds of protocol chemo, 2 rounds of immunotherapy, a lot of radiation to her head and hip and higher dose chemo here in Tucson. Her response was minimal and she often had some progression through treatment. We then began going to Sloan Kettering in New York where she had two rounds of a new immunotherapy, and two rounds of MIBG therapy - both with little to no response. We are currently back home in Tucson and just finished more chemo, more radiation to her head and hip, and a stem cell recovery while we wait to figure out which clinical trial we will get on next in our pursuit to find something that will work to clear this cancer out of our little girl. She is strong and joyful and has remained remarkably resilient and otherwise healthy through all the torrents of treatment she has been through. Thank you for supporting me and the more than 300,000 kids worldwide who will be diagnosed with cancer this year. By sharing the gifts of your time, talent and money with the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, you're supporting research to give all kids with cancer a better chance for a cure.
