Thank you for supporting me and the more than 300,000 kids worldwide who will be diagnosed with cancer this year. By sharing the gifts of your time, talent and money with the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, you're supporting research to give all kids with cancer a better chance for a cure.
Cole has been fighting cancer for longer than he hasn't, but his indomitable spirit never waivers, and he always faces each new challenge fearlessly head on.
When we (because when a child is diagnosed with cancer, the whole family is diagnosed with cancer) were diagnosed, the doctor said that he had a very aggressive stage IV tumor and the chances of survival was less than 30%. Cole has undergone every form of chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and immunotherapy that is out there, and has participated in more clinical trials than we can even remember. He has had multiple surgeries, and so many trips to the hospital that I asked them to give us a VIP card.
His strength and perseverance, along with the most amazing nurses, doctors, and scientists in the world have given us the upper hand in this fight. A year ago this April his scans all came back clean and he was determined to have No Evidence of Disease (NED).
His story would have been much different, and infinitely more sad if not for all of the wonderful people out there who donate to help fund the research that goes into the treatments that have saved Cole's life.
