Thatcher was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia when he was 7 years old.  In the year that followed his diagnosis, he walked through extensive chemotherapy and underwent a bone marrow transplant.  Thatcher’s cancer journey involved many new therapies in pediatric cancer treatment.  He did not respond to conventional chemotherapy as well as many kids do.  A trial drug was used to help him achieve remission and when no bone marrow match was located, an unmatched donor (his Daddy, Jeremy) was chosen for his transplant.  Thatcher is one year past his initial diagnosis and in remission, and doing well.  We are so grateful for his progress, and feel like the Lord has used the medical team that has surrounded Thatcher throughout this process, to usher in the healing only He can provide.Much of the latest research has led to the treatment options that have been used in Thatcher’s care.  Modern pediatric cancer research has blessed our son beyond measure.  We are thankful for any support you feel led to share, every donation leads us closer to a cure!
