Thank you for supporting me and the more than 300,000 kids worldwide who will be diagnosed with cancer this year. By sharing the gifts of your time, talent and money with the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, you're supporting research to give all kids with cancer a better chance for a cure.
I was diagnosed with Burkitts Lymphoma on October 31, 2018 following a week of treatment for severe nosebleeds and an adenoidectomy. Burkitts is a very aggressive form of lymphoma, so we were thrust into scans and tests immediately to determine the stage and course of treatment. It was determined that my cancer was at stage 2, confined to the throat and nasal cavity. Treatment began on November 6th. After my initial treatment, I completed 4 rounds of chemo, being hospitalized for 5-6 days at a time during treatments. I completed my final treatment on January 13th, 2019. Since then my post treatment scans were clear and I was able to have my port removed on February 5th. I am now transitioning back into life as a 16 year old.
