Wesley, Stephanie (mom), and Roger (dad) packed up their lives in Southern California and spent two months exploring across the US at the beginning of 2018, eventually settling in New Hope, PA. With another baby on the way in March, the Howards felt like they found the perfect place to raise their growing family. At the end of October, a visit to our pediatrician about a minor rash on his thigh lead quickly to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia where Wesley was diagnosed with B-Cell ALL. Within those few short hours our lives were turned upside down. St. Baldricks mission is in perfect alignment with ours: we never want to see another family have to go through this again, and by raising awareness we can help get neighbors and strangers alike involved in this cause. We’ve always valued community, and this experience has only underscored for us how essential it is to tackle big challenges with the help of others. Thank you for joining us and St. Baldricks, contributing your voice, your time, and your money to support research that will someday relegate stories like ours to history.
