In October 2018, I was diagnosed with Ganglioneuroblastoma. It is a very rare cancer that attacks the nerves. Less than 5 of 1,000,000 children every year are diagnosed. I thought I was injured from playing football because it hurt me to breathe when I laid down. I had an x-ray taken and 1 1/2 weeks later, I was having surgery to have a tumor removed. After my biopsy came back cancerous and my scans were showing active cancer cells and that my tumor was back, I began my chemotherapy. I will go back in April to see how well the chemo worked.
