My Story

Maddy started to experience very high fevers with no known cause in October 2007. After several weeks of ER and pediatrician visits, we were sent to Childrens Memorial Hospital. On October 30, Madelyn was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) She is in remission and is currently undergoing weekly chemo treatments at Childrens. Her treatment will continue for two years. Madelyn's spirit continues to remain strong and each new day brings her a new level of bravery and strength. She loves making crafts, watching Dragon Tales, and dressing up like a Princess. Madelyn has taught everyone around her what is important in life! We look forward to the day when this journey is behind us- until then we take one day at a time and appreciate all of our blessings!
