My Story

Hello.  This is our son Gage. He is 2 years old. He was diagnosed with Atypical Teratoid Rhabdoid tumor (AT/RT on Aug 7th. That day will always be planted in our heads. “You child has a large mass on his brain” is not what you would expect to hear in a million years. The first week was a complete blur.On Aug 8th they were able to remove approx 95% of the tumor which was the size of a tennis ball. We just finished 5 rounds of intense chemo therapy and stem cell transplant. His post treatment MRI was on Jan 16th and showed no evidence of disease. Because of the tumors deep location, Gage is left with right side weakness. He is currently in an inpatient rehab facility to learn how to walk, talk, and eat again. Gage is a rockstar and has proven over and over again he can battle anything that comes his way. This has definitely changed our perspective on things. We are remaining positive and very optimistic. He has a long road ahead of him. God loves his babies and will continue to help us win this fight.
