Amos in enrolled in kindergarten at Hynes Charter school on Harrison Avenue in Lakeview. He was only in school for 3 weeks before he was diagnosed.
After spending a month in the hospital Amos came home, and he continues to receive regular chemotherapy treatment at Children’s Hospital. He is homebound because his immune system is fragile, so he cannot attend school and must stay home most of the time. He is receiving lessons twice a week from a teacher from his school.
Amos lives with Mom, Heather, and Dad, Nick, and his four-year-old twin brothers Cyrus and Thomas in Lakeview.
Amos' prognosis is good. If Amos continues to respond well to his treatment, he will be able to return to school in the fall of 2018.
Amos will undergo chemotherapy through 2021.
Amos has been a warrior through this process and his glowing, spirited nature is awe-inspiring.
Thank you for supporting Amos and the more than 300,000 kids worldwide who will be diagnosed with cancer this year. By sharing the gifts of your time, talent and money with the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, you're supporting research to give all kids with cancer a better chance for a cure.
