My Story

Two year old Grant Bautista's daily routine was more or less that of a typical toddler until early November 2007 when a tumor was discovered on his right kidney and ureter. After undergoing surgery and corresponding chemotherapy, he did amazingly well -- he is an incredibly resilient child! He is now showing no evidence of disease! He receives yearly scans from his oncologist. Through his journey, he remainded "Grant" -- strong, courageous, and inspiring his family, friends and teachers. In many ways, he has become a spiritual teacher to many. Today, while he doesn't remember much of his treatment, he still demonstrates these traits.
