My Story

Thank you for supporting me and the more than 300,000 kids worldwide who will be diagnosed with cancer this year. By sharing the gifts of your time, talent and money with the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, you're supporting research to give all kids with cancer a better chance for a cure. Harlow was diagnosed unexpectedly on August.9/2017 at 2:00 in the afternoon. Since being diagnosed Harlow has had every complication imaginable. Her original port that was inserted week one of treatment and a few weeks later got infected. She developed a full body staph infection, a fungal infection and developed a large blood clot where her original port was. It was then removed and she was given a pick line that couldn’t uphold the amount of drugs being pumped into her little body so it had to be replaced. This repeated until they thought it was safe enough to reinsert another port. She then had the new port put it and it has since had much better results from it however this road has been extremely long and draining for all of us and we aren’t even half way through treatments yet. She’s had a reaction to her current chemo treatments and her body just is so tired but she continues to smile.  Almost losing Harlow to the infections was a huge wake up call and we now rejoice in even the small improvements we see. She’s a fighter and a superhero to us. No child should have to ever deal with cancer it’s a horrible disease.
