My Story
Caitlin is a delightful young woman who was diagnosed with Systemic and Polyarticular Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis as a little girl. As part of her treatment to control her immune system, and slow down joint damage she was given immune suppressant medication. Unfortunately this treatment allowed her to develop Thyroid cancer. The blow was all the more stunning as Caitlin had recently graduated from high school and was so looking forward to college.
Since the time she was a little girl Caitlin wasn't able to do the activities other children could do because of her frequent pain and joint swelling. School however was Caitlin's place to excel, she graduated her class Valedictorian. We are very proud of Caitlin, she does her best to work through the trials God has chosen for her path. Caitlin is currently continuing her cancer treatment and working as a lifeguard to pay for college. Caitlin's greatest joy this summer has been teaching handicapped children to swim. Please keep our lovely daughter in your prayers.
