My Story
Nate was diagnosed with Medulloblastoma(brain cancer) just after his 9th birthday. He enjoyed all sports and was very athletic. He was classified as stage 4 upon diagnoses with multiple tumors in his brain and spine. He underwent brain surgery, 6 weeks of radiation therapy and 10 months of chemotherapy. Nate managed to stay up with his school work between treatments and even worked with a local radio station to raise money for playstations for the hospital. During his treatments Nate showed courage and a positive attitude that he could beat the cancer. He was an inspiration to many folks in the Charlotte area. Nate enjoys volunteering at the hospital and is an avid bowler. He is now 16 and in remission.
