My Story

Nick was a sweet, SMART young man. Diagnosed at 10, he fought leukemia for 7 years. He relapsed twice; the second relapse indicating the need for a bone marrow transplant in April 2016 from his perfect match sister. He tolerated the transplant, but spent several months in the hospital recovering and finally succumbing to infection in October exactly 7 years from his diagnosis. Nick often thought of others, asking nurses if they had had a good breakfast before work and seeking make others laugh even when he didn't feel well himself. We remind others to #livelikeNick every day and spread joy, faith, and laughter to others whenever you can. Thank you for supporting more than 300,000 kids worldwide who will be diagnosed with cancer this year. By sharing the gifts of your time, talent and money with the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, you're supporting research to give all kids with cancer a better chance for a cure.
