We discovered Katrina's mediastinum mass on December 27, 2016 after getting a chest x-ray for what we thought was pneumonia.
Needless to say we were devastated but we all rallied together...family, friends, coworkers and the wonderful staff at Palmetto Health and the amazing team at the Children's Hospital. I can't say enough good things about those incredible doctors and very special nurses and staff that work there. They are truly incredible.
We are 1 round of chemo away from finishing treatment and hopefully a full recovery. Katrina is an amazing kid with a strong will to survive and get on with her life. Thank you all for the amazing support you have all provided us. We love ALL of you.
