Hi! My name is Joshua, and I'm a cancer survivor! Ten years ago, in February of 2007, I had a tumor on my kidney as big as my dad's fist (that's what the doctor said)! They had to take my kidney out and for the next six months I had that nasty chemotherapy. YUCK!
For a few years after the chemo, I had to keep going back to the doctor so they could check to see if the cancer came back. I had to lay really still for a CT scan. They always wanted to take blood (I didn't like that) and I had to pee in a cup (what do they even do with that?).
Then finally do you know what? My doctor said I was done! I had been going to see her for five years, and she never found any more cancer, so now I'm a survivor! YAY! I still go back every year, but now it's to learn how to be a survivor.
Thank you for helping raise money to help other kids who have cancer like I did.
