Damien has always been full of life is a happy wonderful little boy with a smile that is infectious. In the months before his diagnoses he had several small infections which we thought of as nothing then he got what we thought was the flu. When it lasted longer than I expected i took him to the Dr was immediately sent to the ER and we were emergency transferred to Nemours becuase of Damiens Blood levels being critically low. It was a mother's day we will never forget. I felt as if I was stabbed in the chest when they said the words cancer to me standing in the PICU. But through it all he has been an amazing little fighter, his strength amazes me daily. Though he was scared in the beginning he now loves "his Drs & his hospital " he has been through so much in the past year and has sailed through with out complaint he is my hero and his father and I love him more than all the stars in the sky and are so very thankful for Nemours. Thank you for supporting me and the more than 300,000 kids worldwide who will be diagnosed with cancer this year. By sharing the gifts of your time, talent and money with the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, you're supporting research to give all kids with cancer a better chance for a cure.
