In April 2006 Kyler was diagnosed with brain cancer. He had surgery
and the tumor was completely removed. He has had to undergo radiation and chemo treatments. The type of cell that his tumor was made up of is an aggressive one with a 10-40% chance of being cancer-free in 5 years.
He has had several scans since the surgery to see if it has returned and
so far to date it is still gone and with all hope and prayers will stay
gone.
Kyler is a fun kid who likes hanging out with friends, cooking with mom, playing with our cat Nozomi (which means "Hope" in Japanese), playing video games with his brother and reading too. He is a follower of God and loves to help others. He will often tell groups of kids, "We all go through hard stuff sometimes."
Please pray for Kyler's immune system to bounce back and continue to fight. Pray for courage and strength through the end of treatment!
Come out to the Hard Knox Skate Shop in Lincoln on March 31st at 1:00 pm to see Kyler help shave Lis' hair!
