Hunter's tumor was found at 7 & 1/2 weeks old when his mom and dad noticed that one butt cheek was bigger than the other. Very quickly it was figured out that Hunter's extremely large tumor was a rare form of cancer. Thankfully, Hunter immediately responded to treatment and in just 4 short months, the tumor had shrank by 95%. Unfortunately, Hunter contracted a virus in April that landed he and mommy in the hospital for about 6 weeks. During that stay it was found that, unknowingly, his cancer at metastasized to his brain. At that time it was discovered that he had 10 brain tumors.  Hunter passed away in the arms of his mommy and daddy early in the morning of June 26th, just 10 days short of his first birthday.  (Sorry this isn't very detailed... this was very hard for mommy to write today)Our kids deserve so much more than 4% of funding to go towards Pediatric Cancer Research. Hunter should still be here with us. He was the most precious gift we were ever given and we can only hope that his name will live on forever in all of your hearts.
