My Story
Scarlet is enjoying life to the fullest after a 18 month battle with Neuroblastoma. She has been amazing through the whole ordeal, dancing, singing, playing and exploring while surviving through chemotherapy, MIBG radiation, surgery, XRT radiation and antibody therapy. She is participating in the Bivalet Vaccine for Neuroblastoma for Patients in First Remission at Memorial Sloan Kettering in NY.
As s family we are trying to recover and are appreciating every normal day that we can. Neuroblastoma has a relapse rate around 50% so we must stay vigilant and she continues to get scans and biopsies every three months. There is plenty to worry about but we take our lead from Scarlet who continues to enjoy every minute of life and who spreads her brand of grace, humor and resilience everywhere she goes.
