This fundraising event is in celebration of my brother Jimmy and in
honor of those who are no longer with us. At the age of fourteen
Jimmy was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. His two and
a half year battle with the disease involved countless chemotherapy
treatments, months of radiation and a bone marrow transplant.
Jimmy is now cancer-free nine years later. He recently got engaged
to a wonderful person who is studying to be a PA specializing in
Pediatric Oncology. Jimmy is actively involved in fundraising
events for children with cancer. He frequently speaks at local
fundraising events and has vowed to continue the fight against
cancer until every child is cancer free.
