On July 4, 2014 Neal started having health issues, with unanswered fevers. We would get control of what we thought was just a viral infection, Only to have a fever return a few days later. After several weeks of unknown, and some visits to urgent care we still did not know what was going on. On Wednesday, August 13, 2014, we took Neal to the Emergency room with a really bad rash. The rash we thought was maybe a drug reaction.
On August 15, 2014 Neal was transferred to Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago. Neal had several tests and some painful ones at that. It was on Saturday August 16th Neal was diagnosed with pre-B acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). His diagnoses based on blood results puts him in "Standard risk", his treatment will take about 3 or more years!
Neal was started on Chemotherapy on August 18, 2014.
We as a family have a long road, and thank everyone for their support and continued prayers!
